EXP 3: Development

Further development of the structural form with details: wall, floor, and ceiling thickness, lift, stairs, interior plan and toilets.

Structure is planned to appear 'hovering'. The anchoring portion of the structures by the Square and Blockhouse house the stairwell and lifts respectively. These anchoring points have full length glass windows to allow users from the street level to see through it, making the main structure appear floating form the ground.

Main entrance with the lift lobby, student centre and general staff office. Pictured is a planned timber cantilever artwork that will be a recurring theme throughout the common areas of my building. This is representative of my precedence study of a timber building.

Planned underground lecture theatre for 100 students. entry from both the stairs and lift lobby.
View of the structure from the Round and Squarehouse.

 View from Anzac Parade.
View from the Round and Blockhouse.
Aerial view. To the left sits the library and common study areas. Planned to span the length of the blockhouse roof it then connects to the law library by a pedestrian bridge.
Further development of my structure. Rooms appear "stacked" on top of each other further accentuating the "hovering" form.
